I had so much fun getting out of Sacramento spontaneously and visiting Glass Beach. I’ve been wanting to hit up the Mendocino Coast for years now, so I was super excited & totally felt like a little kid at Christmas during my roadtrip.
- Eating ice cream at Cowlick’s Handmade Ice Cream shop. This little shop in Fort Bragg was named one of the Top 10 Ice Cream Shops in America by Huffington Post! I had the Candy Shop Floor which sounds weird but it had pretty much every piece of chocolate candy in an incredible vanilla base: reese’s peanut butter cups, m&m’s, snickers, etc.
- Strolling along Glass Beach and finding a secluded spot where I could sit on my GivePerf blanket and watch the waves crash as the most perfect sunny skies beamed down at me.
- Driving down Hwy 1 and stumbling upon Point Cabrillo Lighthouse. Such a charming little cliff and I discovered there are little vacation cottages for rent! Mental note made 🙂
- I decided to take a different route home and was surprised by a drive through majestic redwoods. As I pulled over to get a #centeroftheroad shot, I realized how quiet and serene it was and with no cars driving by, I felt like the only person in the world. It was wonderful.
